Boarding Requirements and Information

We accept cats that are current on their vaccinations. All cats 6 months of age or older must be neutered or spayed. We gladly accept cats three months of age and older. We recommend that cats be on a form of flea preventative.

Hours:
We schedule check-ins, check-outs and all tours by appointment, to accommodate your schedule and ours. Scheduling by appointment gives us plenty of time to accommodate each cat and their owner as they arrive or depart. It also enables us to be as flexible as possible, and to schedule plenty of time to care for our guests.

Call 978-897-6562 for your check-in appointment or tour.

Payment:
We charge by the day, whether your cat arrives in the morning or afternoon.

Check out by 9:00 a.m. the following day and you will not be charged for that day.

We accept Cash or Check. We do not take credit cards at his time. By not paying fees to large credit corporations, we can pass the savings on to you by charging reasonable rates for outstanding service.

Holidays:
Check-ins, check-outs or tours are not available on holidays. We will still be caring for our boarding guests, but are not accepting pick-up's, drop offs, or tours.

We will still be caring for our boarding guests, but are not accepting pick-up's, drop offs, or tours.

Vaccinations:

We require that every kitty guest be current on Rabies and Distemper/FVRCP.

For outdoor cats, we require either proof of  Feline Leukemia Vaccine, or a negative Feline Leukemia test done within the last 30 days.

We require all of our clients to bring a record of veterinary administered vaccinations showing their cat is up to date on vaccinations. Massachusetts Law states that ALL cats must be up to date on the rabies vaccine.

Medication:
Please advise us of any medication your cat is on before you board with us, so we can discuss their needs with you.

Veterinary Services:
In the unlikely event that your cat needs veterinary services, we will do whatever is necessary to ensure your cat is properly looked after.

Food
Because many cats don’t adapt well to an abrupt change in food, we recommend that you bring your cats own brand of food.

We gladly cater to special diets and health concerns. Please let us know what your needs are prior to boarding.

Fleas:

We request that all cats be on a form of flea preventative. We take great care to ensure that our facility remains clean and flea free. When we accept a cat for boarding, we assume it comes to us free of fleas or at least without a client’s knowledge of their cat having them. If we find that a cat has fleas while in our care, we will treat them with an externally administered flea product, and this will be added to your boarding bill. If you have any concerns about fleas, we highly recommend that you treat them prior to boarding and inform your veterinarian.

Litter:
Litter boxes are cleaned at least twice a day, or more often as needed. We use clay litter. If you have special litter needs for your cat, please let us know prior to boarding.

Deposits:
We require a deposit during the busiest times of year:

Memorial Day Weekend thru Labor Day weekend

February and April School Vacation Weeks

Thanksgiving week

Christmas/New Year’s week.

We require a 50% deposit at these times.

Cancellation Policy for Holidays and the Busiest Times:
If you give us a 14 days notice of your cancellation, we will return your deposit. If cancellation is 3-9 days before boarding we will put a credit in your file for the entire amount of the deposit, which will be good for your next boarding visit. If your cancellation is 48 hours or less, you forfeit your deposit.

Cleanliness:
We work very hard to keep our facility immaculately clean. We thoroughly clean and disinfect all litter pans, litter scoops, food & water bowls and any bedding.

Arrival and Departure Safety:
Please arrive and depart with your cat in a carrier or on a leash. Clients are responsible for getting their cats to and from our building unless Taxi services are being rendered.

Pre-Boarding Check:
All feline guests will receive a brief pre-boarding check upon arrival.

Any guest that arrives to us soiled, or becomes wet or soiled, must be bathed  (we charge $50.00 for bathing & grooming services)  We do not perform regular grooming services with the exception of nail trims.

We require that your veterinarians name and phone number to be on file while boarding. If you do not currently have a veterinarian, we can provide you with names of local veterinarians we have worked with. However, it is your responsibility to choose a veterinarian you feel confident with and trust.

We encourage you to bring your kitty's favorite toy or bed to make your kitty's stay as comfortable as possible.
